Getting Active And Pushing Yourself

This time of year can be so beautiful, with the clear skies and the warm weather. It’s too bad that this can also be some of our busiest times. As the school year ends, summer plans begin and everything gets turned on its head. It’s easy to lose track of routines, or find excuses to never start them, but it’s really important to set apart time to get active.

Getting Active And Pushing Yourself

This year I ran another half Ironman and it was tough. These events take a lot of training, and are not only physically demanding, but mentally demanding too! After having kids it sometimes feels like you’ll never be able to get back into some of the things you could do before. For me, these races were my mission. I wanted to prove to everyone (mostly myself) that I could still do this, and that I hadn’t lost my strength and determination.

Well, I haven’t lost it. After a lot of smart training and patience, last weekend was the race. I ended up coming in 4th for my age group with a time of 4:53.54, which is 10 minutes better than my previous time!

It felt so good to reach my goal! I want every woman to experience what I did, not necessarily run a grueling race, but to achieve their goals. If that’s simply living life post pregnancy without pain, then I want to help. Our goal is for you to have a high-quality life, where you can spend time doing the things you love. For me, I got to spend the weekend with my family doing crazy things like lugeing, zip lining, and riding the gondola. If you want to get back to goals that you might have forgotten about, send us a message, or give us a call. We would love to be there for you, and find a solution to whatever the problem is.
